Rant: iPods ArE sO hOt RiGhT nOw!!

I'm so tired of people that report old trends as news so that they feel plugged in to today's youth. If I read another article or see another tv news report or hear another radio DJ informing us who are shut off from the world about how the iPod is the "hot new gadget", I'm going to roll my eyes and maybe even try to squeeze out some vomit. You think you're doing us a favor? Hey! Maybe if you did some research then you would learn that we already know that CD's are losing ground. We already know that mp3 players are in and Walkmans are out. We already know that digital music is quickly killing the old fashion trend of dropping $23.50 on an album at Sam Goody. You douchebags report this as "news" as if we never saw it coming. Remember Napster? Yeah, you're about 7 years too late.

I agree but I am not as adamant about it as you. This also brings up something that I have noticed about news and information. It is amazing how much of a difference there is in the time news hits the internet and the time news reaches tv and radio and newspaper. I noticed many times over the break where my mom pointed out something on tv or the newspaper that I had already read about on the internet at least two or three days earlier. So it's a common thing for old news sources to be late and somethimes misinformed about news and trends in technology. I mean, my did didn't even know there were more than one type of ipod or how much they cost. I have come to expect something from this from say local tv news or radio stations. They just aren't as informed and up to date as us younger generation need. I think that is why alot of us get our news from the internet as oppposed to tv or radio.
