i was reading an article about him last year.. i think in rolling stone. it was very depressing. apparently the last years of his life were spent moping around his apartment in a bath robe, smoking weed. he sounded very depressed, void of any hope of recovering from that state. in the words of a good friend, "well, wherever he is, i hope that he's found some people that he can fit in with."
